Printers pairs – when you look at the spread of a book or magazine – you will see that the pages sit next to each other, however when we print the  pages will not be sitting next to each other, an example of this – if you had a 16pp saddle-stitched brochure and looked at it on the computer screen you would see page 1 and 2 sitting next to each other, however when you print you will have pages 1 and 16 sitting next to each other (as they are physically joined on the spine). Pages 1 and 16 are therefore the printer’s pair which describes how we impose a job.
